Leave waste
If you have waste that you want to leave, there are several places to do so, depending on the type of waste. The best and first option is to consider whether the waste can be reused. Maybe someone else needs the furniture or clothes you're thinking of throwing away?
If it is newspapers or packaging, it should be left at a recycling station and not in the rubbish bin. Coarse waste, electrical waste, hazardous waste and other types of waste that do not fit or belong in the bin should be taken to a recycling centre or environmental station.
In Näsåker, electrical waste, refrigerators and freezers, and white goods can also be left at the municipal storage facility.
Reuse
The best thing for the environment is for a waste not to become a waste. What you don't need and intend to throw away may be needed by someone else. Advertise your old stuff or take it to the recycling centre at Rödsta or to a second-hand shop.
At Rödsta recycling centre, you can leave furniture and items in a container that Erikshjälpen empties. What is left there is then taken to Erikshjälpen's shop where it is sold. Do not leave clothes and books in the container because they quickly attract moisture!
At Rödsta ÅVC there is also a cooperation with the aid organisation Human Bridge, which accepts textiles for both reuse and recycling. It is therefore possible to leave both whole and broken textiles.
This can be left:
Clothes, textiles (even broken), whole shoes, belts, hats, soft toys, ladies' bags.
Materials should be placed in knotted bags.
This cannot be left:
Carpets, cushions, blankets. Textiles that are wet or obviously dirty.
At each recycling centre you can also leave used sports and leisure equipment in the Fritidsbank's stalls.
