Extended collection interval

If there are reasons, you can get an extended collection interval for septic tanks. In this case, you must submit a written application to the Environment and Building Department, which will then examine the case.

The following criteria must be met in order to obtain an extended collection interval. If the criteria are not met, the extended collection interval will not be granted.

A fee will be charged for this decision, regardless of whether or not you are granted an extended collection interval. Exemptions from the emptying routine are personal and will no longer apply if the conditions for the exemption granted change.

Permanent housing

  • The volume of the sludge separator must be at least 2 cubic metres and clearly oversized.
  • the household consists of only one person.

Extended collection interval for sludge is only granted for emptying every two years. For closed tanks, no extended collection interval is granted.
